Salary Information
Our nannies are well compensated. Your salary will depend on the number of children in the family, your responsibilities and your level of experience. Your salary will be negotiated prior to employment. If you need help, we will guide you in the negotiation process.

We place LIVE-IN (the family provides room, board, salary, and most often, use of a car) as well as LIVE-OUT (you are responsible for your living arrangements) nannies in the greater Boston area. Salary generally ranges between $400.00-$600.00 per week for live-in and $15-$20 per hour for live-out with higher salaries offered, depending on experience.

Overnight nannies for newborns can expect to earn $18-20/hr for singletons, $20-25/hr for twins, and $22+/hr for triplets.

Employer/Employee Agreement
When you have taken a position through the Boston Nanny Centre we will send your employer an Employer/Employee Agreement form. The agreement will specify the conditions of employment, responsibilities inherent in the job, and salary. This should be signed by both you and the family. The Boston Nanny Centre will be available to offer assistance as well throughout this process. The form comes in triplicate. You will keep a copy, your employer another, and the third should be sent to the Boston Nanny Centre.

Benefits Information
All permanent BNC nannies receive at least two weeks paid vacation. Frequently the family takes a vacation during a week separate from yours. They either ask you to accompany them to be with the children, have you stay home to house sit, or give you additional paid vacation time.

All BNC nannies receive at least eight holidays off with pay. The days vary depending on the job and are negotiated prior to your starting the job. Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas and New Years Day, plus two more which are negotiated between you and the family.

There are a variety of nanny group health insurance plans available. Some families contribute to or pay in full your health care coverage. This is negotiated between you and your family.
